The Lotería Collection

In my “Lotería” series, I celebrate the card game cherished across Latin America. Drawing from my own upbringing on the border of South Texas and Mexico, I recreated sixteen of my favorite iconic Lotería cards into western oil paintings.

Lotería is more than just a game; it's a testament to the multicultural tapestry of America. Its roots extend beyond borders, weaving together diverse influences and narratives. Inspired by this rich history, I sought to celebrate my “Tex-Mex” heritage by offering a contemporary twist to a historic pillar of my culture.
