The Lotería Collection

In my “Lotería” series, I celebrate the card game cherished across Latin America. Drawing from my own upbringing on the border of South Texas and Mexico, I recreated sixteen of my favorite Lotería cards as western oil paintings.

Lotería is more than just a game; it's a testament to the multicultural tapestry of America. Its roots extend beyond borders, weaving together influences and narratives of many cultures. Inspired by this rich history, I want to celebrate my “Tex-Mex” heritage by creating a contemporary twist to this iconic staple of my culture.
